Versace - Spring/Summer 2015 RTW collection review

Versace - Spring/Summer 2015 RTW collection review -

For the s/s15 collection, Donatella Versace decided to strip back her signature luxurious style and opt for a minimalistic, clean cut collection which explored simplistic silhouettes. Donatella disregarded her otherwise go to embellishments and gold studs and decided to trade them in for intricate laser cut patterns which mimicked those seen in her s/s 15  Versace menswear collection.
Laser cutting was seen on everything from t shirts and skirts to bags and boots, giving the collection a totally different dimension then what we are usually shown. The attention to detail with these garments meant that eveningwear stood no relevant place on the catwalk.
The collection included an array of block popping colours such as baby pinks and blues, brilliant reds and orange hues. These bright playful colours where contrasted with monochromatic tones such as white and black, which gave an undoubtingly clear POP ART styling.
The collection showed us that Donatella still has full control over her brothers legacy and that she can continue to surprise us and push the limits of what the Versace fashion haus is all about.
